About Us

Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

20 years ago, there was a vision that the residents, your neighbors, of Lenawee County were becoming unsheltered at an alarming rate. Share the Warmth of Lenawee was formed to be a solution to that problem. Share the Warmth of Lenawee was first formed on kind words, promises and prayers. STW Lenawee operated during the evening months of the year and only during the night. The location would change between different churches, the Salvation Army and even Bohn Pool and relied on a staff of volunteers. STW Lenawee knew that it was making a difference, but there was still many areas that needed help. STW Lenawee purchased the then Moose Lodge in Adrian and opened as a emergency shetler operating 24 hours a day and 365 days a year. STW Lenawee started offering limited case management, meals and basic needs to the guests.

Today STW Lenawee supports almost 400 Lenawee County residents with a full-time staff of 13 (1 Executive Director, 3 Case Managers, and 9 Shelter Assistants).  Helen's House, houses 62 beds with both men and women's spots available. STW Lenawee now offers extensive case management, meals, shelter safety, individual housing plans, workforce development opportunities, educational opportunities, life skills class, financial management classes, Health check-ups, and so very much more.
